Head Coach - Andrei Samorodov

Coach Andrei started fencing as a young boy in Russia. He instantly fell in love with the sport and continued until high school.

Moved to the United States in 2000.

2000-2004 Coached at the Palo Alto College and San Antonio Community Olympic Development Program 

2004-Present Head Coach and Owner at the Alamo Fencing Academy. Has coached over 100 students to local, regional, national and international success. 

His love for the sport matches the love for teaching and working with his athletes. He loves to watch his fencers grow as athletes and as people. Fencing is only a part of their life, being good humans is ALL of their life. He teaches not only fencing skills, but life long lessons that will follow his students for ever.

Coach - Oksana Samorodova

Started fencing at the age of 8 under the coaching of father Andrei.

Multiple time National Medalist of the US. 

3 time Medalist at the Junior Olympics.

2012 All-American - Penn State University


Coaching since 2009.

One of the youngest coaches in the nation.


Will graduate with a Sport Management Degree from UIW in May 2019. Great athlete and great student - perfect example for all kids.
